Recognition of Degrees Awarded through MBS College of Crete<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Under the applicable Greek legislative framework, including\u00a0Article 168 amending Presidential Decree 38\/2010 (Government Gazette A\u2019 78),<\/strong>\u00a0the procedure for the recognition in Greece of qualifications awarded by European Universities that collaborate with private colleges is regulated.<\/div>
Graduates of MBS College of Crete, holding either undergraduate (Bachelor\u2019s) or postgraduate (Master\u2019s) degrees, may independently apply for recognition of their qualifications through the Independent Department for the Implementation of European Legislation (ATEEN) of the Greek Ministry of Education.<\/div>

Presidential Decree on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications<\/h2><\/div>
Presidential Decree 38\/2010 (Government Gazette No. 78, 25 May 2010, Series A\u2019), which transposed European Union Directive 2005\/36\/EC into Greek law, established the framework for the recognition of qualifications awarded by universities in European Union Member States to European citizens, irrespective of where the studies leading to those qualifications were undertaken, whether at the universities themselves or through their collaborating colleges.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>

Degrees Awarded Directly by Partner European Universities<\/h2><\/div>
Degrees delivered through colleges and awarded directly by their partner universities abroad are classified at Level 6 (Bachelor\u2019s degree programmes) and Level 7 (Master\u2019s degree programmes) of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).\nIn accordance with Decision No. 853\/2010 of the Greek Council of State, studies undertaken at colleges in collaboration with European universities fall within the educational jurisdiction of the countries in which the awarding universities are established.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>

Degree Recognition by UK ENIC (formerly UK NARIC)<\/h2><\/div>

UK ENIC (formerly UK NARIC \u2013 the National Recognition Information Centre for the United Kingdom) is the UK\u2019s national agency responsible for providing information and guidance on the recognition and comparison of international qualifications.<\/p>

Graduates of MBS College of Crete who successfully complete a programme delivered in collaboration with a UK University receive their degree directly from the awarding University. In addition to their degree, graduates may also apply to UK ENIC for an official qualification evaluation and, where applicable, obtain a Statement of Comparability confirming the level of their qualification within the UK education system.<\/p>

Supporting Documents Required for the Recognition of Professional Qualifications by College Graduates<\/h2><\/div>
  1. Application Form<\/strong>\u00a0signed by the applicant upon submission.\u00a0. If the application is submitted by another person or sent by post, the applicant\u2019s signature must be officially authenticated by a<\/strong>\u00a0Police Station or Citizens\u2019 Service Centre (KEP).<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    1. Application Fee<\/strong>\u00a0of \u20ac100 (payable to the Greek State)<\/strong>\u00a0for each qualification submitted for assessment. The fee may be paid electronically through the e-Paravolo (Electronic Administrative Fee) service of the General Secretariat for Information Systems (GSIS),\u00a0(more info at link https:\/\/www.gsis.gr\/e-paravolo)<\/a>\u00a0or through the competent Tax Office (DOY). The payment receipt should identify the applicant as the payer and state\u00a0\u201crecognition of equivalence\u201d as the reason for payment.<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>

      1. Identity Card or Passport, submitted as a clear photocopy.<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

        \u00a0<\/p>

        1. Degree Certificate<\/strong>\u00a0for which recognition is sought, duly authenticated in accordance with the\u00a0Hague Convention (APOSTILLE),\u00a0<\/strong>submitted either in the original or as a legally certified copy, together with an official translation into Greek..<\/strong>\u00a0For countries where the Hague Convention does not apply, authentication may be carried out by the competent Greek Consular Authorities, in accordance with the applicable requirements. Higher education qualifications originating from the\u00a0British Council<\/strong>\u00a0may alternatively be submitted as copies certified by the\u00a0British Council,\u00a0<\/strong>accompanied by an official Greek translation. Qualifications originating from\u00a0France\u00a0<\/strong>may be submitted as photocopies certified by the\u00a0French Institute,<\/strong>\u00a0together with an official translation.<\/li><\/ol>

          \u00a0<\/p>

          1. Official Academic Transcript,\u00a0<\/strong>including the detailed\u00a0grades for all years of study,<\/strong>\u00a0as well as the dates of enrolment and graduation. The transcript must be signed and bear the official stamp of the awarding higher education institution. It should be submitted as a\u00a0legally certified copy,<\/strong>\u00a0\u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03af\u03b3\u03c1\u03b1\u03c6\u03bf\u00a0<\/strong>accompanied by an official translation into Greek.<\/li><\/ol>

            1. Programme Syllabus \/ Programme Handbook<\/strong>\u00a0, providing detailed information on the modules studied by the applicant. A Greek translation should be provided if requested by the competent authority.<\/li><\/ol>
