Due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), any personal information will be dealt according to the MBS College of Crete confidentiality policy complied to the European Rule 679/2016.

The MBS College of Crete collects and edits personal data that are given by you as current students, candidate students, graduates and collaborators.

The personal data that MBS College of Crete can edit

Personal data include any information about a person whose identity can be verified, directly or indirectly, especially through reference at identifying element of ID..

The MBS College of Crete collects personal data that you communicate every time you express your interest or register to an academic programme or seminar that is offered by MBS College of Crete. Personal data can include some of the following:

First name and surname,
Home address,
Identification number,
Personal Tax number

There are circumstances where MBS College of Crete is capable to collect personal data from other sources, like:

data by the Ministry of Education,
data by the collaborative Universities,
data by Professional bodies and unions

Finally, MBS College of Crete uses “cookies” which are small document files that are saved in your PC when browsing websites and collect information about the visitor’s behavior.

You are not obliged to make your personal data known to us, but in case you decide not to give us your identification information, MBS College of Crete will not be able to offer its academic programmes and services to you.

Why MBS College of Crete may edit your personal data?

MBS College of Crete collects only the personal data which are necessary for the reasons to collect and use and exclusively for these purposes. More specifically:

for filling in the application forms / contact forms about the academic programmes and services of MBS College of Crete,
for registration to the academic programmes / services of MBS College of Crete,
where they are necessary by the rules of the Ministry of Education,
to forward informative material about new academic programmes/ services of MBS College of Crete only after your signed consent. It must be noted that you can withdraw your consent at any time, with future validity. To be more specific, when we receive the update that you have withdrawn your consent, we shall stop editing your data, since there is no other legal basis that justifies data editing.

Who are the recipients that MBS College of Crete may forward your personal data?

MBS College of Crete does not share or forward your personal data to third parties, except it is necessary to fulfill the purposes the data is collected or/and if it is compelled or permitted by the law. In any case, access to your personal data is permitted only to authorized personnel that must have access in order to fulfill the purpose of their collection, use and editing, as it is announced by this declaration..

the collaborative Universities that you are registered as students,
the Ministry of Educationς

Period of keeping your personal data

MBS College of Crete keeps your personal data only for the time absolutely needed. During academic programmes or services provision framework, MBS College of Crete keeps your personal data for at least five (5) years after your relationship with it, is terminated. It is possible to keep your data for a longer period if it is necessary by the regulatory framework or for our legal purposes.

After the expiration of the above period of compliance, MBS College of Crete may destroy, delete, encode or make your data anonymous in a different way.

Your rights about the editing of your data

According to the current regulatory and legal framework, you have the following rights:

to be informed if we keep your personal data and if yes which are the specific data we keep and we keep/use them.
to request access to your personal data and to receive a copy of your personal data that we keep.
to request corrections to your personal data that we keep and to amend possible lack or inaccurate information.
under certain circumstances, to request deletion of your personal data.
to resist editing your personal data, when we invoke legal benefits or when we edit your personal data for direct marketing reasons
to resist to automated decisions taking with no human interference, like profile creation which must not be an object of an automated decisions taking using your personal data or your profile.
to request editing limitation to your personal data.
to request forwarding your personal data to you or a different party (commonly known as “data portability “ right) in a digital and structured form.
