Studies, Career & Memories from MBS

Q: Describe MBS in three words.

ΗΑ: Progressive. Collaborative. Innovative.

Q: What made you choose to study at MBS College of Crete? How did you first hear about us?

HA: I always knew that my long-term goal was to pursue a postgraduate degree abroad, so I wanted to complete an undergraduate programme in Greece that would provide a strong foundation and open that pathway. MBS gave me the opportunity to earn a broad Business degree before specialising through my postgraduate studies later on.

Is your current position related to the degree you obtained through MBS?

HA: Absolutely. I studied Business Management through Nottingham Trent University and then went on to complete a Master's degree in International Marketing at London South Bank University. I have been working in Business and Marketing since graduating in 2011.

Q: Tell us a little about your professional career.

HA: I am currently a Senior Marketing Manager at The Crown Estate. The Crown Estate is one of the UK's largest real estate businesses, managing a property portfolio valued at more than £15 billion. I am responsible for the marketing and communications strategy for our Central London portfolio, which includes Regent Street and St James's.

In simple terms, my role is to attract visitors and consumers to our destinations, encouraging them to spend their time and money in our shops, restaurants, hotels, and other businesses rather than with our competitors. On a day-to-day basis, I lead both internal and external teams of around 15 people and oversee our always-on marketing channels, advertising campaigns, public relations activities, events, and brand development, ensuring that all initiatives align with the organisation's overall strategic objectives.

Q: What do you miss most about your student life at MBS College of Crete?

HA: Where do I begin? My classmates—many of whom are still among my closest friends—the lecturers, some of whom I continue to admire to this day, and, of course, the work hard, play hard lifestyle we enjoyed while living in Crete.

Q: If you were not practising your current profession, what would you choose to pursue?

HA: I'd probably be the Mayor of London! Who knows—maybe one day I actually will be.

Q: Alumni Tip: What advice would you give to a new student at MBS College of Crete?

ΗΑ: Work hard and play hard! Listen carefully to your lecturers—they have a great deal of valuable knowledge and experience to share. Give your best in everything you do, because the effort you invest today will become the foundation of your future career. Follow your dreams, and let MBS be the platform that helps you achieve them.
