Studies, Career & Memories from MBS

Q: Describe MBS in three words.

TR: Flexible – Inclusive – Bold

Q: What made you decide to study at MBS College of Crete? How did you hear about us?

TR: I wanted to complete my studies in Greece and had several options available for pursuing a Law degree. However, MBS College of Crete became my preferred choice due to its strong partnership with Staffordshire University, its friendly environment, and its supportive staff, who assisted me at every step of my journey and helped me become an active and valued member of the MBS student community.

Q: Tell us a little about your professional career.

TR: I am currently a corporate lawyer, with my main area of focus being the Energy Sector, including oil and gas, renewable energy sources such as wind farms and solar parks, nuclear energy, hydropower, and related areas. More specifically, my daily work involves advising different clients on matters related to the operation of their projects and businesses. For example, my responsibilities may include advising on corporate governance matters, natural gas and oil trading processes, the establishment of subsidiary companies, regulatory compliance requirements, and various other aspects of business and entrepreneurial advisory services.

Q: What do you miss most about your student life at MBS College of Crete?

TR: I miss the inclusive culture and the friendliness of both the administrative and academic staff. Of course, I also miss the classes we attended and the lecturers, who were of exceptional quality and from whom I truly enjoyed gaining knowledge. Above all, however, I miss my fellow students, who have become very close friends and are people I will never forget.

Q: If you were not practising your current profession, what would you choose to pursue?

TR: A difficult question, but I would most likely be the owner of a small, beautiful restaurant on a Greek island.

Q: Alumni Tip: What advice would you give to a new student at MBS College of Crete?

TR: I would advise students to broaden their way of thinking, remain open-minded towards new challenges, and step outside their comfort zones. They should also build connections with professionals in the fields they aspire to enter. Most importantly, in order to achieve their goals, they should make full use of all the resources available to them as students of MBS College of Crete and its partner universities.
