Sofia consciously chose to continue her postgraduate studies at MBS College of Crete. Through the internationally recognised and innovative MBA Finance with Merit, specialising in Business Financial Management, she developed a broad range of knowledge and skills through real-life case studies, enabling her to gain a deeper understanding of business strategies and the customer journey. At the same time, collaborative group projects helped her strengthen her teamwork and communication skills, allowing her to work more effectively with others.
Today, Sofia is the Sales Manager at her family-owned 4-star Marika Hotel in Chania, Crete. In this brief profile, she describes her professional transition from the Front Office department to a Sales Management position within the tourism industry, and how the MBA programme supported her career advancement. Starting her career as a Receptionist, she achieved two promotions within three years: in 2018, she was promoted to Front Office Manager, and in 2022, she advanced to her current role as Sales Manager.
